ECE ASSOCIATION

HONEY WELL

Hi friends, this is the info got availed by our CSE friend(BALU) about HONEY WELL...

Jus go through it........

ALL IZ WELL... :D

we may expect to have 4 r...ounds:

-> Written

-> 2 Technical interviews ( can be 15-45 min each )

-> HR  ( can be aound 15 min)

 I am not sure about how it is going to be here, but,  generally Honeywell sets 2 different papers for EC(ece, eee) and CS(cse, it), which will differ only in technical section. ece and eee students can even chose CS paper.

The below format may not be the same for us, bur it represents the weightage given to different sections by them.

general format of the written test :-

 100 questions - 1 mark each - no negative marks

 1) Technical - 50 marks

C++ & Data structures        : sortings, pointers, stacks, quesues, linked lists, arrays, tress(binary, Avl etc.)

OS                                    : about scheduling, semaphore, mutexes etc.

Computer Networks            : OSI layers

Databases                         : SQL, PL-SQL, Deadlocks, Normal forms etc.

Software Engineering          : s/w development life cycle, models(waterfall, spiral etc.), Testing

Real time systems              : (RealTime OS from ES)

Microprocessor & contoller

Computer Architecture

->EC paper may expect questions mostly from :         electronic circuits& devices(find o/p) LIC, digital electronics, control systems, dsp, microproessor  & controller, analog & digital comm., etc

Better not rush through each and everything, but be confident enough in your interested areas.

 2) C  - 30 marks

    functions, files, structures, unions, pointers, memory management(malloc, calloc etc.)

-> Questions in general will be  in the format v hav seen in our practice tests ( more like a small program and v hav to choose the output )

 3) Aptitude  - 20 marks

 (For better guidance in quant, refer the site specified below)

-> relatively easy of 3 sections

Regular quant & apt. stuff such as percentages, profit-loss, distance, time, interest, numbers, odd man etc.

Recommeded book: RS Aggarwal

 4) In addition, some times we may have descriptive section of 20 marks (any of above section's weightage may be reduced accoringly)     and this section can more likely to be technical too i.e, 30 objective + 20 descriptive from technical. Some times total test can be descriptive, but that is very rare.

We can expect the cutoff to be in-between 50-55. So, scoring high in C, Aptitude sections will improve your chances, although good technical knowledge is must for the further rounds if u pass through written.

It seems that this company opts for the candidates with high technical knowlwdge.

However, the above information may not only useful for the campus drive that is to be conducted by Honeywell but also for any other.

nalanti vallaki scope takkuva, so meerayina prepare and do well.All d very best................

will try to post example questions in Written , Technical and HR interviews soon...
